Starting Friday, December 11th: The Brewer Fountain at Boston Common Menorah lighting takes place daily at 4:30pm. The Brewer Fountain is half a block down from Park Street Station. On Sunday, December 13th at 4pm the lighting will include a special event with entertainment.
And here are three other events for Sunday, December 13:
10am -2pm: The Leventhal-Sidman JCC (333 Nahanton Street, Newton) will host a Chanukah fiesta, featuring Chanukah art projects, candle lighting,
refreshments, open gym time and a special concert. Performing is Hot Peas ‘n Butter a children’s musical
group that plays Latin, Afro-Caribbean, folk and rock music. They will
perform twice, at 11am and 1pm. The fiesta portion of the day is free and open
to the entire community. Tickets for the concert are $10 and can be
purchased at www.jccgb.org/m
10:15am: Temple Israel of Sharon (125 Pond Street) has a Family Hanukkah Celebration with a performance by Jewish Rock Musician Rick Recht (at 10:15). Food, Hanukkah games and a camp fair will follow the show. Tickets are $10 per person, with kids under 13 free.
4pm: Temple Beth-El (70 Orchard Avenue, Providence) also has Rick Recht for a free concert and Hanukkah Celebration. There will be latkes, doughnut treats (sufganiyot),and Hanukkah presents for the children. Please bring a non-perishable food item for St. Michael's Food Pantry. Phone: (401) 331-6070
